Qui sopra, grafici con l'andamento in funzione del tempo delle longitudini celesti di Giove e di Saturno relativi alla stessa congiunzione G-S, quella del 1782, vista da Terra (il secondo grafico) e 'vista' dal Sole (primo grafico). Si notino sul secondo grafico le fasi di apparente moto retrogrado (valori delle longitudini in diminuzione) per entrambi i pianeti, provocate dalla rotazione terrestre. Vista da Terra la congiunzione planetaria avvenne il 5 novembre 1782.

Poiché noi - confinati sulla Terra - non possiamo sperimentare direttamente la vista dell' evento 'congiunzione' dal Sole, Kant parlò e teorizzò una presunta inconoscibilità del NOUMENO, cioè della Cosa in sé stessa o Ding an sich o Thing in itself. 

Questa a parer mio era una posizione totalmente pretestuosa (fondata, penso, su motivazioni religiose), da parte di uno come lui che aveva anche solide basi matematico-scientifiche e che certo non aveva alcuna difficoltà a pensare ed anche a simulare con dei calcoli un cambiamento di punti vista, di prospettiva, dalla Terra al Sole.   

L'abilità dialettica di Kant fu tale da presentare tutte le complicate formulazioni della sua Critica della ragion pura e dei suoi Prolegomena (entrambi significativamente pubblicati poco prima e poco dopo della congiunzione Giove-Saturno del 1782) come nientemeno che una Rivoluzione copernicana in campo filosofico, mentre al contrario la sua affermazione che sono conoscibili solo le cose che appartengono al dominio dell' apparenza, cioè i fenomeni, sembrano essere - e di fatto sono - solo un oscurantista tentativo di Restaurazione filosofica contro la vera e reale rivoluzione fisica di Copernico.

Ecco perché condivido totalmente quel che scrive il prof. Claus Beisbart nel suo articolo Philosophische Expeditionen ins Unbekannte: "Auffassungen wie die von Kant haben unseren Wissendrang aber kaum gebremst."

KNOWABILITY and KNOWLEDGE of the THING-IN-ITSELF

 A Kant- workshop is taking place today and tomorrow at the New Europe College - Institute for Advanced Studies, in Bucharest (Romania), on the "Knowledge of Transcendent Objects".

The two pages you can see here are the Abstract I sent on January 15th, 2014 to try to partecipate to the said workshop.

A very kind email  of the workshop director, dr. I. Trisokkas, informed me on Jan. 23rd that the competition for the few available slots had been intense (47 abstracts for only 4 non-reserved places) and not successful for me. 
"The overwhelming majority of the submitted abstracts was of extremely high quality, making thus our decision which ones to choose an immensely difficult one."

Hoping that all readers (particularly the kantian ones) will appreciate it, I've decided to make known here my thoughts about the by-Kant-presumed unknowability of the thing-in-itself and about Kant's tentative of philosophical Restauration of the real Copernican Revolution.
